Rachel and Miguel are not strangers to waiting. You see, Miguel is from the Netherlands, and Rachel grew up here in the D.C. area. When they fell in love online, they had to wait to finally meet each other. Then began years of waiting between trans-Atlantic visits. And a few years ago, Rachel waited in the car as Miguel applied for a visa so he could move to America to be with her. They didn’t wait to have an intimate wedding back in October of 2019, but then the pandemic pushed their larger wedding celebration another year. So to say this day was years in the making is sort of an understatement but it made it that much sweeter to see them finally get to celebrate with family and friends!
