Plus Size Girlfriend Collective Try On Haul

After hearing about the brand for years, I finally decided to try the sustainable and size inclusive brand Girlfriend Collective! They make all their products from recycled plastic water bottles and fishing nets and have sizes XS to 6X!

The first pair of leggings I tried are the Luxe Leggings in black. These leggings are COMFY! They have a great weight to the fabric and feel really smoothing on my body. I loved how high waisted they were and they definitely felt like they would stay up on my body. My only minor complaint is that they didnt have a lot of compression on my lower belly area but otherwise these are some of the best leggings I’ve ever tried.

The Float leggings are a lighter weight fabric that is super soft! I think I would have prefered these in the XXXL over the XXL. They are high-waisted but not quite as high as the luxe leggings. I think these would be great for lounging and would also work for working out! Overall, I really loved this style.

The Dylan Tank Bra is super cute. For my chest (40DDD) it wasn’t quite compressive enough. That being said, I really liked the band at the bottom and I’ll definitely try other bras! I really liked the length of this bra so if you have a smaller chest this might be a great bra for you!

The High-Waisted Bike Short was another great option. I think the XXL was a bit too small on me and dug into my thights a bit. The pockets were great and the construction felt really high-quality. I think in the proper size I would really like these shorts!

Another great pair of leggings! These were definitely a bit harder to put on (because they were too small) but once they were on I loved the shape! The fabric was more compressive and felt more suited for actual working out! Even though I got these in the shorter length, I felt like the length still worked on me!

Lastly, the Paloma Dress! I am a big fan of the new exercise dress trend and really wanted to try this one! Because it is all one piece, it did feel a little short on me (I’m 5’10 for reference) so I wonder if sizing up would help! This dress is pretty fitted too so keep that in mind if you generally wear looser fitting dresses like me! Overall, I loved the concept but I’m not sure this exercise dress is the perfect option for me (but I will keep trying because I love the concept!)

Final Thoughts

I really really liked Girlfriend Collective. I do think that you should size up for this brand, especially in the more compressive fabrics. The items all felt really high quality and worth the price point – especially because they are sustainable! Overall, I will definitely shop at Girlfriend Collective again in the future and can’t wait to try more colors and styles.
