Thanks to the unwavering dedication of plus-size clothing companies, we are seeing a greater diversity in fashion models and an overall shift away from unrealistic standards.
From influencers to celebrities to everyday people, there’s been an immense increase in visibility for those who don’t wear straight sizes. These plus-size brands should be commended for their progress, as they are helping to make fashion more inclusive one step at a time.

So today, I will showcase my favorite plus-size brands (including my own! squee!!!) and tell you what I like about each of them, what sizes they carry, and what their general price point is. Carla Kiley Collection
Okay, you know your girl had to start with her own dress line! We launch in a few weeks, and I cannot wait for you guys to see what I have in store for you. The first collection will feature four dresses, two solids, and two prints.
One solid will be short, and the other will be a midi length. One print will be short, and the other will be a midi length. The fabric is hand-block printed cotton poplin made by artisans in India.

When I’m searching for breathable, comfortable dresses that are on trend with timeless silhouettes, Anthropologie is my go-to. More often than not, when I sport an Anthro dress, I will get showered in compliments and asked, “Where did you get that dress?!”

As an avid athleisurewear enthusiast, I’ve tried my fair share of plus-size brands, but none can rival the performance and quality of Athleta. Their leggings, bike shorts, and sports bras feature innovative design elements such as elasticity, breathability, and comfort that keep up with even the most strenuous workouts.
Plus, their athletic apparel is crafted to last much longer than similar products on the market today. I have Elation Tights that are three years old, and you would never know it; they look brand new. Whether I’m working out or just lounging around my house, Athleta’s definitely my go-to.

- They sell out of plus sizes ALL THE TIME! This annoys me.

Old Navy
Old Navy is one of my go-to plus-size brands when shopping for wardrobe staples. Their sizing, up to a size 30, makes them one of the most inclusive retailers in the industry.
Plus, they have an array of looks that can accommodate most occasions – their styles run the gamut from sporty fitness gear to classic midi dresses and everything in between.
I find their jeans and dresses irresistible; with so many designs, patterns, and colors to choose from, it’s easy for me to stay on trend year after year. As a more affordable brand, you can find amazing jeans for under $50, and they are always running great sales.
Last year they decided they weren’t going to carry plus-sizes in all stores as they had previously started in 2021. Old Navy claims to have not seen the sales in-store in the plus size category they expected when they launched this initiative, which was the reason for making changes.
I can still find plus sizes in my brick-and-mortar store, but the selection is usually subpar. Since I enjoy online shopping, I typically buy my Old Navy items that way. I have enjoyed this brand since it started in 2019. They make higher fashion more affordable without sacrificing quality and fit. I personally love the Caralyn Marand Collection.
As a budding dress designer myself, I love how Amazon has made clothing lines more accessible to influencers who have an eye for design but no idea how to get started. (Or the time, money, and resources!)
